The battles with cancer go on. I recently received this from a friend in Ukraine, whose father is fighting cancer along with the war.
“My father’s condition is not improving…I feel a deep sense of helplessness because I have no strength to influence his health. It is incredibly painful to watch his suffering and pain, and to see my mother crying and переживає. My mom is an incredibly strong and loving wife — the way she cares for and supports him is truly amazing.
“I have many questions for God that remain unanswered. But I continue to pray, realistically understanding my father’s current condition, while still asking God for a miracle of healing.”
I resonated so much with my friend. We all have questions for God, things we don’t understand. But I loved his conclusion, to understand as well as he could and to continue to ask God for intervention. We don’t deny the reality of cancer and pray for mercy.
We will be healed, here or in heaven, those of us who have cried out to Jesus to be our Savior. Let’s lift each other up in prayer.
Do I hear an Amen?
