I’ve been reading a book recently called”Beauty from Ashes” by Kristen Paris. In it, she has a chapter about dreams. She says, “Eternal life gives us infinite time to continue pursuing dreams.”
Interesting thought. So many have talked about their fear of getting bored in heaven as they float around playing harps. Without the pressures of life and time, how will we feel urgency? What will keep our days running?
We all have dreams, things we desire to see happen. What if there was no end to them? What if they kept growing and expanding into a universe of possibilities? Wouldn’t that be heaven?
She also reminds us of the scripture, “I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.” (Joel 2:28 NIV)
What are your dreams? I have to admit that since cancer, I haven’t dared to dream. I’m just grateful to wake up each morning.
I hadn’t thought of my dreams continuing into eternity.
Now I wonder if they have been big enough?
What are your dreams? Let’s start a conversation as we share them with each other.
