Birthdays are strange things, aren’t they? They remind us of where we have been and where we are headed. Sometimes those things are fun and positive, and sometimes they can be hard.

Suspended has been quite the journey – from the initial diagnosis to the transplant to now 19 years of living with cancer. I just received a good report from my oncologist that my cancer is still “stable,” but I always know I am just a blink away from something different.
